New favorite game--I put it up there with Vagrant Story.  Granted, it is very short; only about two hours in the first play through.  But it is a wonderful experience that doesn't need to be longer.  The art direction, the musical score, and the online play are amazing.  I can't really describe exactly the feelings I got when I played through the first time; to me, it felt like a pariable about life and transcending to enlightenment.  I don't know if that is what the developers intended, but that is I what I got from the game.

This is one of those games I feel like I have to promote, since it is a bit of a niche title.  And also a nice break from senseless sex and violence.
