I haven't much good about CS3, and besides I don't think my computer to take it XD. You might try asking someone over at Conceptart.org about CS3 and suggestions. Most of the posters there are pretty up to date about the newest software and what's good.
Oh man! this is a bit different from you, huh? the posing and the face here...it's very unique! I like that you're bending the rules of figure drawing and using some neat perspective. It's very original and playful. Your quickies turn out really well! they're not overthought at all.
heh, except for that forearm, those are some realllly nice lines!
...you must be pretty experienced on colouring, cos thrown on implies it took about two mins, and that'd take me ages! (yeah i suck at colouring)
Thanks! The background was done in Photoshop; it's pretty much done with some light texturing with a custom brush, then some quick lines (and hokey leaves :B) done with a couple of the default brushes. Overall, it probably took about 15 minutes.
shocking! looks like i've got some learning to do
default brushes eh?
damn you photoshop elements! YOU ALWAYS LET ME DOWN
for some quick lines, those branches are everso sure of themselves, if you catch my drift?
...the line down the side of the face/neck and the braces are heaven
