Well, got a copy for my 3DS, since I can't find it anywhere for the Wii for less than $100....

....I'm trying really hard to like this game, but I think FFXII and FFXIII did the psuedo-MMORPG styled gameplay better (this is coming from someone that HATED FFXIII). Also, the GUI and menus are a mess.

You can definitely tell it's a Takahashi game, from all the forced techno-babble in the dialogue.  The environments are pretty, but I wish you could explore the buildings... The soundtrack's good; I don't think it's as good as Xenogears or Xenosaga, but it's nice.

I will say that I like Dunban.  He's the closest I will get to another Jin Uzuki.  :(

I guess so far it's a bit disappointing after playing Bravely Default.
I almost feel like this site has gotten too big for its own good.  DDs constantly go to the same few, popular people.  Features go to artists "that made it"--which also happen to be the same few popular artists that were popular before they went pro.  "Community" translates into "who can spend the most time posting in the forums to become popular", and so on.

I guess I just got left behind.  It doesn't feel like dA anymore, but it's turned into a commercial, money-generating machine.  Understandable, you need money to support so many members, but I don't feel as welcomed here as I used to.

Oh well.
*boos at Namco for retracting half the crazy evil shit Jin did in Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 and saying it was Heihachi's doing*

Boo, I say.  BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  >:[

Also, Lars confirmed.  Yeehaw!

Well, it wasn't' made public and was just posted a few days ago, but dA's getting rid of most of their smaller sized dimensions for prints as of 5/15/14.  So, I'm going to eventually going to be disabling the prints section of my account, just because  a good deal of what I have to offer was in those ranges.   I'll keep up everything until mid-May, then I'm disabling everything, including my larger prints, just because it's not worth it.  So, to anyone interested, have at it.

I do have to say, it was REALLY a dick move of dA not to make a public announcement to give a head's up to customers about the changes.  It was only announced through an admin's sta.sh account here.  Nowhere else.  Poor customer service, if you ask me.

Anyway, I didn't make much off of this site anyhow, and I'll miss at least having the option to use for myself, since I do like the quality of dA's prints and I've used them to print of promotional items and prints to display for local shows.  But, I don't personally don't have any other use for the option here.  I'll just have to find another means.

*shrugs*

2013 was a horrible year for me, art-wise.  Aside from some personal projects and some work I couldn't post here, I didn't do much.  My resolution for this year is to start getting back to being as productive as I was even a couple of years ago.  Not aiming for a pic-a-day, like the old days, but back to at least being able to have the sketchbook dumps every few months and more polished pieces than I did last year.  Here's hoping!  Cheers, and may 2014 treat everyone better :)

P.S., why is it now I'm replaying Xenogears, and suddenly it hits me what a huge DICK Citan is?  Wow.

Anyone sell on Redbubble?  Because I have a question, and I couldn't find it on the website.  As far as making t-shirt graphics, how do you indicate that you want a part of the image transparent?  I thought from the guide I downloaded that it was just supposed to be grey, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  Please help if you can.  Thanks!

I think...getting this print account was a mistake.  I've only made one sale over the past two years--and thank you whoever it was that bought a print.  It means a lot.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  It doesn't seem like it's lack of visitors, and I think I made most of my merchandise reasonably priced.  But, it's costing me more just to keep this account open.  Seems like a waste.

I'm finally biting the bullet...

As some of you may already know, I've been ill and have acquired some huge medical bills.  While I'm still working the best I can with my condition, I'm still having some financial troubles.  So, I've opened up the Prints portion of my gallery for anyone that's interested in buying.  I've ordered a couple myself in the past, and the quality is lovely.  I recommend the glossy prints :)

But thank you ahead of time.  I know times have been tough for everyone, but I thought I'd give it a try.

...Just got out of the hospital again.  Hopefully, this will be the last time for awhile, but still.  Stayed home sick Tuesday, and then my dad insisted on taking me to the ER late that evening/early that next morning.  I'm thinking that this time, though, I had an allergic reaction to MUCINEX of all things ;o;...  Nothing else changed! *sob!*

Edit on 9/10/12:  I really want to thank you guys for the kind words of encouragement :)

I know, I know...I haven't been nearly as active here as I used to be.  I've had a lot of stuff happen that's getting in the way of me finishing up art, mostly some major health issues that make it physically hard for me to actually draw because my illness affects my hands and joints and also causes me to have major fatigue (as in, I could literally sleep for ten hours straight and still feel like crap).  And those aren't even the worse parts of this condition, like the kidney failure, the weight loss, and all the side effects from the meds I'm on.

But...I don't want anyone thinking I've stopped drawing or that I'm going to stop posting.  I love art and I love dA a lot.  Art honestly has been a bright spot in trying to feel better.  So, anyone that still watches me, thanks for hanging in there with me :).  And everyone I watch, thanks for being so inspirational.  Everyone here still makes me want to strive to be a better artist.  I mean that!

New favorite game--I put it up there with Vagrant Story.  Granted, it is very short; only about two hours in the first play through.  But it is a wonderful experience that doesn't need to be longer.  The art direction, the musical score, and the online play are amazing.  I can't really describe exactly the feelings I got when I played through the first time; to me, it felt like a pariable about life and transcending to enlightenment.  I don't know if that is what the developers intended, but that is I what I got from the game.

This is one of those games I feel like I have to promote, since it is a bit of a niche title.  And also a nice break from senseless sex and violence.

Yeah, I know...Anyway, happy New Year!  Sorry, been extremely busy with my other non-art job; it's busy season plus some really stupid workplace politics came up, and we're not allowed to do ANYTHING during our down times.  No drawing, no reading, no talking, etc.  Usually, I still try to keep up with my art and commissions in between clients, but as of now can't do it.  Depressing as hell, but what can you do?

But, I hope 2012 is good to everyone, and I'm aiming to at least have a little something new up for the month this weekend, since I haven't updated my gallery since November.  Cheers!

It was...very Japanese?

Honestly, though, it was a lot better than the Tekken anime, Avenging Fist (i.e., HK bootleg Tekken :B), and the live action Tekken movie from last year.  Fight scenes were great, except for the very last battle--which was a cop-out.  Shin was a waste, except for the shower scene :B, and it needed more Lee by  a lot.  Also, Lars would've been a nice addition if the whole point of the movie was about how much the Mishimas hate each other.  In fact, it never came up that Lee's a Mishima, too.  Seriously, WTF?

Also, surprisingly, Xiaoyu didn't annoy me.  *thumbs up*

I guess it was okay?

You know, I wonder if all the angry Jun Kazama fans realize that:  1) most of her fanbase is Western thus she never had the following in Asia that she has in the West, 2) she was never all that popular in arcade play in both T2 and Tag--and that's in most countries that had the arcade machines, not just Japan and Korea, and 3) Asuka was put in to shut them the fuck up and is already way more popular with arcade players and online than Jun ever was...mostly because Asuka has a personality.

Jun fans, please get off the internet and leave Harada alone.  That's why he keeps trollin' y'all.  (See: Jun/Junknown in TTT2 and Jun's stage, which is purposedly full of rainbows and sunshine to mock you guys!)
